This fantastic first flush Darjeeling tea is the first 2025 tea to make it to our tea menu. It's the very first lot from the organic certified Snowview tea garden, which is found very close to the Bhutan border. Due to its lower altitude is ready for picking a little earlier than other Darjeeling teas. This is a FTGFOP-1 china, meaning the leaves come from original China-type tea bushes.
This is a truly fantastic and surprising Organic First Flush Darjeeling tea. As you probably have realized, we don't list Darjeeling teas as "Black Teas or even as "Red Teas" but as "Himalaya" Teas. The reasoning is evident with first flush teas like this which undergo such a light oxidation that it really makes no sense to call them Black teas. But this Snowview is even more green that most First Flush Darjeelings. It's fresh green nature is really out of this world and makes for a very fresh, floral and fruity cup that is sweet and dense with a nice oily viscosity that is sure to grab your attention!
We have just a small quantity of this luxurious tea so be warned... this one will disappear very quickly!
