The Kalapani tea estate is a new venture and consists of several small gardens in Eastern Nepal in Panchtar, Koshi Province. Their tea is grown in a pristine, clean natural Himalayan environment without the use of agricultural chemicals. This tea was made in the style of Darjeeling first flush tea with a very light oxidation and a very lovely, floral and aromatic cup of tea. It's flavor is very fresh, floral, slightly spicy with fruity notes and a long-lasting sweet aftertaste. This tea was named "Basantah" in honor of Spring as this tea evokes the freshness of Spring more than any other.
