The Kalapani tea estate is a new venture and consists of several small gardens in Eastern Nepal in Taplejung, Koshi Province. Their tea is grown in a pristine, clean natural Himalayan environment without the use of agricultural chemicals. This tea was made in the style of Darjeeling first flush tea with a very light oxidation and a very lovely, floral and aromatic cup of tea. Its flavor is very fresh, floral and sweet with fruity notes and a long aftertaste. This tea was named "Sunkeshari" Sun means gold, and "Keshari" means hair, a reference to the beautiful appearance of its perfectly processed fine, hairy buds.
