Li Shan (Pear Mountain) is one of Taiwan's best and most famous tea mountains. The leaves for this tea are of the Chin Shin “Tender” or “Gentle Heart” varietal and grow at almost 2000 meters in an ideal Alpine healthy eco-system for tea. The land is rich in bio-diversity and minerals and benefits from daily mists (Sea of Clouds) and plenty of rain and sunshine. It's as good as it gets for tea. The term “Gao Shan Cha” is used to categorize highly aromatic oolong teas grown in the upper and more pristine regions of Taiwanese mountains.
This fresh 2024 tea has the freshness of cool mountain air and rain and is uplifting and refreshing with notes of flowers, herbs and a light citric touch.
