This is a very cute, practical and delicious young shou puerh made from old trees in Lincang, which is one of the 3 major or important areas for puerh tea along with Xishuangbanna and Simao. The Dayezhong (large-leaf variteal) leaves were harvested in 2020 and compressed into a coin shape.
Each coin weighs about 9 grams and has a textured line running through it, making it very easy to split the coin in half so that each coin can be used for 2 sessions for 1 or 2 people or one longer session for a larger group. You'll find this tea to contain a nice about of buds making it a little sweeter and creamier than most shou puerh. Its taste is very pleasant and balanced, without any funky fermentation flavors. Good value too... This one will fly!
This tea comes pressed in 9gr coins.
