We are very happy to have found this delicious Puerh that has aged for almost 25 years already! This fantastic aged shou puerh is very smooth without any traces of fermentation flavour as it was dry stored in Kunming, making its flavour very clean and mellow having aged without mustiness.
Menghai is the western county of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Region. It is home to many famous tea mountains such as Nan Nuo Shan, Bu Lang Shan, Meng Song, Pasha, etc. The leaves of this tea are quite large and were never pressed so it was left to mature as loose leaves. You'll find the brewed tea is light reddish brown in color and very smooth in mouth. It has a lovely aroma that evokes the pleasant memories of a dry sauna in more ways than one. We find this not only to be romantic and poetic but actually very faithful to the body feeling it gives us since it is very warming, making it an ideal tea to enjoy this winter!
