This is a truly fantastic Sheng Puerh that has aged for over 10 years in Taiwan and is now 12 years old. The leaves come from trees that are about 100 years old growing in the famous Yiwu Mountains, one of the most sought out regions for high-quality Puerh tea due to its perfect terroir for Puerh tea.
The leaves were carefully picked, withered, gently pan-fired and rolled and sun dried in small batches to make this tea. Thea leaves were very gently stone presed into cakes, that are very easily to separate and which revel leaves that are whole and mostly intact due to the light pressing.
You can tell by the color of the leaves that this tea has already aged nicely in a short period of time, The leaves are already changing color and brewing a darker, more ochre-golden infusion.
You'll find this tea to be delicious, fairly mature sheng puerh that is both soothing and refreshing!
