We are so happy to have found this amazing traditional oolong from Wuyi Mountains made by one of the oldest companies in Wuyi that still produces tea in the traditional fashion which charcoal roasts the tea at least 3 times over the summer. Long Xu or “Dragon Whiskers” is a reference to the shape of the long handpicked leaves with their stems, which are then tied into small bundles with a string. All you must do is unravel the strings and brew the tea. If you first separate the bundle a little it will help you make evenly brewed infusions right from the start.
You'll find the aroma of this tea to be nicely baked at first giving way to floral and fruity notes such as apricot and plum. In mouth it is very soft and elegant, sweet and round with subtle mineral notes as well as ripe fruit and wood.
Recommended Preparation: An entire bundle is 10gr. That's a lot of tea for 1 person and this tea can handle at least 7 steepings. We recommend you untie the bundle and only use about half the bundle if you are drinking alone.
