    Artisan shiboridashi tea set (180ml.) with matching cup made by the skilled hands of our dear friend and master potter Nelson at Atukaa Ceramica in Barcelona. For many years Nelson worked as a profesional potter in Carmen de Viboral, Colombia, making traditional pottery and his own creations. Upon moving to Barcelona last year he discovered the vast world possibilities in teaware and has been working closely with Antonio from Caj Chai on honing his craft learning the langauge expressed by the forms of the teaware that is used when preparing tea.

    Artisan 120ml shiboridashi tea set made by the skilled hands of potter Petr Novák, specialized in original tea accessories for preparing tea in the traditional manner. His pieces are made according to techniques that are used in traditional Korean pottery, elements of which can also be found in traditional Japanese or Chinese pottery as for centuries these countries mutually influenced each other.

    His pieces are always thrown on the potter’s wheel, trimmed and finished using hand-building techniques. After bisque fire it is glazed and wood-fired to 1280°C -1350°C (2336F-2455F). He creates his own natural glazes using local materials.

    All pieces are unique and one of a kind, although often they may appear similar.
