2008 Sheng Pu-erh Lingbo Quindai

,

This tea is made by blending first flush leaves from 100-200 year old natural wild arbor tea gardens (shengtai cha), from Mengla, Xishuangbanna. The kill-green process (sha qing) was wok fired in small batches and stone pressed by Guan Zi Zai. The pressing is tight enough to hold firmly together but loose enough to easily separate the beautiful large leaves.

A nice example of a “Yin” tea that is easy to drink and perfect for those who like Yiwu, Jinggu or Yongde tea. Guan Zi Zai is a medium sized company based in Kunming that is in partnership with Taiwanese tea master Shi Kun Mu and is well known for high quality plantation tea and fine old tree blends. This pu-erh cake is sold broken by the gram.
