Bamboo Leaf Green – Zhu Ye Qing

,

Bamboo Leaf Green is a hand-picked and hand-processed tea made of 1 bud and 1 or 2 very tender leaves that are shaped into flat form that is reminiscent of bamboo leaves. This tea is actually quite modern, first made by a Buddhish monk of the Wannian Temple and discovered in the 1960s. This monk developed a unique shaping method where both ends are pointed in the shape of a bamboo leaf.  Over 35,000 leaves are needed just to produce half a kilo of this tea and they appear to dance when infused.
