Fabulous and rare wild gao shan oolong tea that grows at high elevation (Gao Shan) at Hehuanshan, which literally translates as Joy Mountain. This mountain is adjacent to Li Shan and borders both Nantou and Hualien counties in Eastern Taiwan. This pristine alpine area is managed by the local Seediq ethnic group. Chin Shin varietal (Tender Heart) leaves are rolled into small balls, which is the typical appearance for Taiwanese alpine oolongs, oxidation is light (15%) and roasting is minimal. The tea is light, fresh, sweetish, with a beautiful, finely milky texture, very rich in pectin, which is typical of top-quality alpine teas.
