Wu Yi Oolong Bai Ji Guan, along with Da Hong Pao, Tie Luo Han and Shui Jin Gui, is one of Wu Yi Mountain’s 4 Famous Yan Cha or Cliff Tea. The name itself translates as White Cockscomb and goes back to the Ming Dynasty. It was given this name because the top of the bushes have a bright yellow-green appearance that in strong sunlight is almost white in color. You will find that the processed leaves are more yellowish in appearance than any other Wu Yi tea. This tea is also slightly less oxidized and roasted than other Wu Yi rock teas.
