Mao Feng (Hairy Peak) is a tea classification term that refers to a 1 bud, 1 leaf fine plucking with fine silvery hairs, although sometimes you can also find one bud, two leaves labelled as Mao Feng. This green tea comes from a garden in Yue Yang, Hunan and was picked at the end of April and processed in the traditional pointed style. You’ll find some small white furry balls mixed with the leaves. The early spring leaves have a lot of silver hair and some of it sticks together during the rolling process. Normally they are taken out, this time the producer left them.
