Wild Tiger Monkey is an extraordinary limited edition wild green tea produced in small quantities by ethnic White H'Mong families in Lung Phin, Ha Giang province, Vietnam (1600 m), which shares a 270km border with Yunnan, China. Tiger Monkey is hand-fired in a cast iron pan over a wood-fire, which lends a light smokiness to the tea. This tea was made harvesting wild assamica leaves from ancient 200-800 year old trees and produced. Its character is wild and strong, so unless you like your tea intense, we recommendd you ease your way into the tea with shorter steeping times. You'll find this green tea starts out with prominent marine and mineral flavours, with light smoky notes in the background. As you continue brewing, in later steepings you will notice earthy and woody notes with a sweet aftertaste that lingers in the back of the throat.
