It is extremely rare to find teas that are over 50 years old and can be perfectly traced as this one. This one was made by the producer's grandfather and labelled 1971 Chin Shin (Tender Heart varietal). It matured peacefully and developed pleasant, clean aged medicinal notes that are referred to as "chen xiang" or "aged aroma" and very nice, slightly sweet, ginseng notes . It's quite hard to find aged oolongs in Taiwan that haven't been re-fired over time! This tea is bright and clear with sweet, floral and noble wood notes, but with a very fresh aftertaste.
You'll also find very surprising, aromatic notes you'd never find in a fresh baozhong, evoking camphor, eycalyptus and fresh mountain air.
